The answer

You cannot order this through milkatlas in the United States. The sellers below ship it there.
HiPP International Junior 3 is HiPP Austria's English-language export milk drink for children from one year, a growing-up milk served in a cup. Its legal name is a milk-based drink for young children, and on every row both packs print it matches the German Kindermilch 1+, with galacto-oligosaccharides and the culture L. fermentum. Unlike HiPP's International Stage 1 and 2 it is not organic, whatever some sellers say. HiPP recommends two servings a day; the NHS says children aged one to five do not need formula milks.
Key takeaways
- A milk drink for young children from one year, served in a cup, from HiPP Austria's English export range.
- It matches the German Kindermilch 1+ on every row both packs print, in a smaller box, and prints four rows the German box leaves out.
- Not organic: no organic logo and no organic ingredient, though some sellers call it organic.
- The NHS says children from one to five do not need formula milks, and the American Academy of Pediatrics calls toddler formulas unnecessary for most.

Values from HiPP's label for its export range, checked 18 September 2026. EU law sets no composition for formula for young children, so there is no range to set it beside. The label prints values per 100 ml only, so the per 100 kcal column is calculated from them.
How do you prepare it?
Boil fresh drinking water; for a warm drink, let it cool to 40 to 50 °C. Pour it into a cup, add one level scoop (5.7 g) for every 45 ml, stir and check the temperature; use an opened sachet within 3 weeks.4

| Made-up bottle | Boiled water | Scoops |
|---|---|---|
| 150 ml | 135 ml | 3 |
The pack gives bottle sizes rather than ages, so this is what it prints and all it prints. How much a child takes varies, and a hungry or sleepy child is a better guide than the table. The pack says a child needs about 2 of these a day.

Questions parents ask
Does a toddler need HiPP International Junior 3?
Most do not. The NHS says children aged one to five do not need formula milks, growing-up milks included, and that pasteurised whole cow's milk can be the main drink from one year. The American Academy of Pediatrics calls toddler formulas unnecessary for most children, and the European Food Safety Authority found young-child formula no more necessary than a normal diet.
Is HiPP International Junior 3 organic?
No. The box has no organic logo and marks no ingredient as organic, unlike HiPP's International Stage 1 and 2; some sellers' listings call it organic, and the box does not support that.
Is it the same as the German Kindermilch 1+?
They match on every row both packs print, though this box prints four rows the German one leaves out, with the same 5.7 g scoop to 45 ml of water. The export box holds 500 g against 600 g, is in English, and uses folic acid where the German box uses Metafolin.
Is Junior 3 a Stage 3 formula?
No. The 3 is its place in HiPP's export range; by its legal name it is a milk drink for young children, not a follow-on formula like HiPP's German and Dutch Stage 3.
How much should a child drink?
HiPP recommends two servings a day, each 150 ml made from 135 ml of water and 3 scoops, from a cup, and says a child need not finish it.
Can it be made with cold water?
Yes. The box says it can be made with hot or cold water; for a cold drink, use water that was boiled and has cooled down, then stir in the powder.
Why does HiPP Lithuania show a different box?
HiPP Lithuania's page still shows an older box, AL2097-03, with another recipe: less energy per 100 ml and a smaller scoop. HiPP Estonia shows the box sold now, AL2097-04, whose values this page records.
Is it sold in the United States?
Not by HiPP. It is made in Germany for HiPP's export range, the seller that offers it in the US imports it, and milkatlas does not sell it.
