Since 29 August 2025, goods from any country that used to enter duty free as low-value parcels are subject to all applicable duties, taxes and fees.1
Who pays that duty is set by each seller, and the table gives every seller's position in the words of its own pages: prepaid, included in the price, left to the buyer, or not stated.35710 The mechanics behind all of it, what changed and what a held parcel means, is its own page, and so is whether the FDA approves any of this.
Organic Life Start goes furthest: it prepays all duties and taxes before a parcel ships, the price shown includes them, and a customs bill arriving later is one it says it will take care of. It puts the tariff on goods from Europe at 15 %.1011

What should you check when the tin arrives?
Check the best-before date before you open anything: HiPP prints it on the bottom of the Dutch tin.11
Organic Life Start and Formuland count a tin as damaged only when the tin itself, or the inner bag of a box, is punctured; to both of them a dent or a crease is cosmetic, so photograph any damage before you unpack further, and report it to the seller straight away.46

Is HiPP approved by the FDA?
No. The FDA does not approve infant formulas: a maker must notify it before selling a new formula in the United States. HiPP makes these formulas for European markets, and no HiPP formula is on the FDA's list of formulas marketed in the United States.
Can US customs stop a HiPP order?
The sellers' own policies cover that. Our partner retailer's prepaid tariff guarantee says it files and pays the tariff for the delivery address and will take care of a customs bill that arrives; the other sellers' terms are linked in the table above.
Do I pay import duty on HiPP?
It depends on the seller. Since 29 August 2025, low-value parcels from any country are subject to all applicable duties, taxes and fees. Organic Life Start prepays all duties and taxes and promises no later customs bill, which it confirmed to us, though its shipping policy has not caught up. Formuland says duty is included, Organic's Best says the buyer pays, and Organic Formula Shop does not say.
How long does delivery take?
Each seller states its own window in business days, and the sellers table on this page gives each one's from its policy. Customs checks can add days, and one seller counts from when the order is processed rather than from when it is placed.
Do prices change often?

Can I return a tin of HiPP?
Not once it has shipped: every seller we track says formula cannot be returned, because it is food. For damage in transit, Organic Life Start and Formuland count only a punctured tin or inner bag, not a dent, so photograph any damage when the parcel arrives.
Which HiPP version should I buy in the US?
Every seller we track lists the Dutch Stage 1 tin, which has lactose as its only carbohydrate and comes in 800 g. The line hub sets it beside the German boxes.
Which seller is milkatlas's partner?

Can I get HiPP delivered to Alaska, Hawaii or a PO box?
Not through milkatlas buy buttons: Organic Life Start delivers only to the lower 48 states and never to a PO box, and Organic Formula Shop does not deliver to PO boxes either. Does the tin come with English instructions?
No. The Dutch tin is printed in Dutch and French and the German box in German, because each is made for its own market; the product pages show the preparation panel as printed and say what each line means.
