About us
The answer
milkatlas is kept by a small group of parents who feed their own babies HiPP and could not find a page that answered a plain question without selling a tin. Seller pages are written to sell; agency pages are written for professionals; forums are written by people guessing. So we bought the tins, read the panels and the regulations, asked an OB-GYN to check the health pages, and wrote the answers down. We sell some tins to pay for it, and we say so on every page that does.

Who writes it?
Kseniia P.
Parent of three. Product and preparation pages, and the tin log
Writes the product and preparation pages and keeps the tin log. Every scoop weight and batch code on this site was read from a tin they bought.
Tatum G.
Parent of two. Sources and data · fact packs and citations
Runs the fact packs: the regulation text, the manufacturer panels and the studies each page cites, with the date each was fetched.
Why we do not just link to the sellers
Because the seller pages are where we started, and they were the problem. A page whose job is to sell a tin cannot tell you that Stage 2 is optional, that the German box and the Dutch tin differ in starch, or that the temperature on the tin conflicts with the CDC. Ours can, because the page is written first and the buy module is added after, from the same data, and the page is the same whether you buy or not.
We do sell. The buy buttons on this site are fulfilled by our partner retailer, Organic Life Start, which pays us a share, and some of the other sellers we link to pay us a fee. That money is what keeps the site checked and current, and it is disclosed at the top of every page that has a seller link. The seller does not see a page before it is published and cannot change a word of it.
Questions parents ask
Are you doctors?
No. We are parents. Health pages are reviewed by a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, named and dated in the byline, and any page that names a condition tells you to ask your pediatrician.
Who pays you?
Readers who buy through the site, via a share of the sale from Organic Life Start, the partner retailer that fulfils it, and referral fees from some sellers we link to. Nobody pays for a page, a placement or a rating.
Are you HiPP?
No, and HiPP has no relationship with this site. We write about HiPP because it is what we feed and what we could not find answers about.
Do you use AI?
Yes, to draft against a fact pack and to run the checks that catch machine-sounding prose. Every page says so in the byline. A named person signs every page.
Why one brand?
Because a reference is only useful if it is complete, and one brand across five markets is already more than a group this size can keep current. Other brands appear only where a comparison needs them.
Can I join or contribute?
Corrections, yes, through the contact page, and they are credited on the corrections log. We are not taking on writers at the moment.
Why do you not describe the site as free of commercial ties?
Because we earn from the buy buttons and links: our partner retailer sells and ships the formula and pays us a share. That description would be misleading, so we do not use it.
